Por un lado, nos proponemos
entender cómo funciona la neuroquímica de la retina. Por otra parte, nos
ocupamos de desarrollar modelos experimentales de enfermedades visuales frecuentes para las que aún no existen tratamientos efectivos (glaucoma, neuritis óptica, degeneración macular asociada a la edad y otras) en distintas especies, estudiar de los mecanismos patológicos involucrados y buscar estrategias terapéuticas de nueva generación.
